New word - turkey?

Just in time for Thanksgiving, I've decided to start working on the word "turkey". We have a book which has a turkey as one of the main characters, and every time I see him, I point to him and try to say "turkey". So far it's been coming out more like "dir-dy", but I'm working on it!
