Mommy went back to Mississippi yesterday, so today we took advantage of some good weather and flew down to see her! She's been away for just over 4 weeks, so we are very excited. Daddy warned me that it was going to be a long flight, though, at least 5 hours depending on the wind. I did great for the first half, when we stopped in Shreveport, LA for lunch. I pretty much just read and played with toys (especially such fun "toys" as Daddy's flashlights) and occassionally let Daddy know I needed something else to do.
We landed in Shreveport for lunch, and then ran around for a while just getting some "wiggles" out. It was a good idea too, because we were a little less than halfway done! Daddy had planned a stop somewhere in Mississippi in case I got too fussy, but like he expected, after all that lunch and playing, I fell asleep about 30 minutes after takeoff. I slept for about an hour, so he just kept on going to Biloxi, MS and didn't make the intermediate stop. I did hide from him for a while too!
We got to Biloxi, and since Mommy had been tracking us online, was only a few minutes away when we landed. When she pulled up in the parking lot, I ran right over to her and gave her a big hug! We were both very happy!
As Daddy was getting the bags, I crawled up in the trunk. Don't worry, I moved over to make more room!
I also found there was an airport dog named Chance. Chance was very friendly and I got to pet him a lot. Later I named my little white toy dog "Chance" and kept saying "he's an airport dog!"
One of the first things I did when we got to our room was show Mommy how good I am at my map puzzle. She was pretty impressed! (Oh, and I know Michigan now, too.)
It's really great to see Mommy again!
