I sure seem to be favoring my left hand a lot. I usually eat mostly with my left hand (in fact sometimes my right hand is perfectly clean after a meal!), and often I grab for things with my left hand. However, it's not quite that cut and dry, because I use my right hand too (like in the picture below of me holding the wrench with Daddy), and I usually grab my drink at dinner with my right hand (but then again, the cupholder is on the right side of my tray).
Grandpa Stoller and Uncle Matthew Stoller are both left-handed, so it does run in the family.
Mommy and Daddy will keep watching!

Daddy found my secret hiding spot! :(
Daddy caught me shoving a toy (one from my "Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set") underneath the oven in the kitchen yesterday. He got it out, and then found two others and a plastic plate! But then today he was wondering if I had stuck anything else under there that he couldn't see yesterday. So he went and got a flashlight, and could see that there was definitely more under there. Once he took the drawer off, much to his surprise, he found 4 more plastic plates (the rest of the set that Mommy couldn't figure out what happened to), and the long-lost "horse behind" from the "Fridge Farm" (they thought I had thrown it in the trash can)! They had a good laugh.
I guess I can no longer use this as my secret hiding spot, I'll have to find somewhere else.

Daddy's little helper, part 2!
We all went out to dinner tonight and had Mexican food. I love Mexican food! Especially the beans, I sure can shovel them in! But I like the tortillas and the chips too. The beans, of course, have funny (to me) and scary (to Mommy and Daddy) after-effects!
After dinner, we headed over to Lowe's to look for a birdbath. Mommy's wanted one for a while, but finally they had some that weren't either gigantic or ugly! So we got one. I also got to wander all around the store. I like walking around in there, there's so much to look at and touch and have Mommy and Daddy tell me not to touch! It was a great time.
When we got home, I got to help Daddy assemble the bird bath. It wasn't too difficult. With my help, he got it done really fast! Here I am helping him attach the base to the rest of it. Look at the determination on my face!
We put it outside and it looks really nice. Hopefully some birds will think so too.
When we came back inside, I proudly carried the wrench around the house, much to Daddy's delight. Of course this lasted until Mommy noticed, and told Daddy to take the wrench away from me, because in the traditional words of mothers everywhere "She'll poke her eye out!" So he did (and I fussed), but not until he got a quick picture of me, his little helper!

Fortune cookies
Tonight we all went out for Chinese food. I wasn't that crazy about what Mommy put in front of me. I don't know why though, it was a lot of the same sort of stuff I love at home. I think I was just distracted by the other people in the restaurant and wanted to look at everybody and wave at them. But at the end of the meal, we got some fortune cookies! They gave us 3, one for me! This I thought was great fun as I broke it apart and started nibbling. Daddy read my fortune to me.
He told me it's already come true and I do it every day! (She sure does! - Daddy)
Then Mommy and Daddy looked at their fortunes. Mommy's was, well, let's just say somewhat less accurate than mine:
And Daddy thinks that his is not quite right:
He says he feels lucky every day to have Mommy and me! Even so, maybe he'll play the lottery this weekend anyway, just in case...

New word! "Buh"
I know a new word now! It's pronounced "buh", like "book" without the "k", and that's exactly what I mean when I say it. Sometimes it's because I've got a book and want Mommy or Daddy to read it to me, and sometimes it's when I want to go get a book. A few times I've said it when I probably don't really mean "book", but mostly I use it at the right time. It's nice when Mommy and Daddy know exactly what I want!

A busy week of learning
I have really been learning a lot recently. I have started to become very interested in imitating people, especially Mommy and Daddy. Of course I've been trying to brush my teeth and hair for a while now, but some other things I've tried to do lately after seeing Mommy or Daddy do them:
- I'm really good at copying if they move their tongue from side to side of their mouths. And if they make a sound while doing it, I'll do that too!
- I've started grabbing a wet wipe out of the box and trying to wipe myself during a diaper change. I don't do that good of a job yet, but I'm trying!
- I have always tried to pull my socks off by grabbing the toes. This doesn't work too well. But Daddy showed me that it works a lot better if I pull them down from the top! I'll keep trying this one, it's harder than it looks.
- I've always been fascinated by the TV remote, but now I actually hold it at arm's length and point it at the TV while I press the buttons.
It's fun learning things!

Daddy's little helper
We had a lot of rain the other day, and the ground got so wet that one of our trees was leaning over. Daddy asked me if I wanted to come outside and help him fix it (okay, he really didn't wait for an answer and just picked me up and took me with him, but I didn't mind).
I thought it was a lot of fun holding the mallet!
Then I got to hold the excess tubing he was cutting for the rope around the tree. Here I am showing it off to Mommy. Do you think Daddy should mow the lawn? Look at my legs! Yes, he did mow it the next day. (Hey, it had been raining! - Daddy)
I hope Daddy didn't need this extra tubing, because I was having too much fun running around the back yard waving it back and forth!
I like helping Daddy and Mommy around the house! After all this work I sure was tired. I fell asleep in my chair in between bites of a cracker!

Grandma and Grandpa Roslewski came down
Grandpa Roslewski is finally recovered enough to travel, so he and Grandma came on down to visit today. I was very excited, and even moreso when I found out that they brought Shadow, their dog! We had a great time and I got LOTS of love all day. Grandma even showed me something else which was really fun to do - spin me around on Daddy's desk chair! I was giggling the whole time.
I hope Grandma and Grandpa can come visit again soon!

I built my first lego creation!
Look at what I did tonight! I put all these Lego blocks together with no help from Daddy other than he held the base for me. It took a long time to line some of them up just right, but I was determined and managed to figure them out. Daddy was so proud! (Neither of us can quite figure out what it's supposed to be.)

Water play day!
Tuesdays at Day Care is water play day! This is really fun. I get to wear my Winnie the Pooh swimsuit and my water shoes and splash, splash, splash! It's like taking a bath but with only the fun part!

Last Sunday at the park
Daddy just found this cute video they took of me on the swing last Sunday. He's tickling me each time I swing forward, and I sure am giggling!
Helping Mommy with the laundry
Today Mommy was emptying the dryer and I wanted to help! I started off by grabbing clothes out of the dryer and handing them to Mommy. But when Mommy went to get a laundry basket, I had climbed right in by the time she got back! I still kept handing her the clothes, but I wouldn't let go of the last one. I knew that once I did, Mommy would make me get out of the there! Fortunately the dryer was nice and cool since the clothes has been in there a while.
Later on I proved to Daddy that I could even put the clothes in the basket once he showed me how! I unloaded the whole dryer before Mommy got back. I'm such a little helper!

Lots of walking!
Up until today, I've only been doing a little walking at a time, usually just between the coffee table and the end table, or the couch and the fish tank, or some other short distance. But all of a sudden, today that all changed! Today I've been walking much greater distances and without any prompting by Mommy or Daddy. In fact, we went out shopping today and I sure showed off my new walking skills, taking off on my own, walking up and down the aisles, maybe 30 or 40 feet at a time! Mommy and Daddy were very impressed, and I found it's much easier to get around that way than crawling. Plus, my hands are free so I could touch everything on the way by! I went ahead and blew kisses and waved at some of the people I passed too!
Here's a picture of me walking to Daddy. Do you like my crazy hair? Yes, I just woke up from my nap!
